During this period, he has gained extensive knowledge and experience in audit, accounting, financial management and ICT.
He is the lead partner of our public sector portfolio and personally manages key relationships in this sector.

Ismail has over 15 years of experience in the assurance industry and a strong understanding of IFRS. He has acquired a broad portfolio of clients across diverse industries including aviation, enterprise retail and property management and serves as the engagement partner for some of our largest clients.
Ismail has conducted various pre-issuance engagements for the AGSA and public sector assurance engagements.

With her own portfolio of high-profile clients and a technical expert in her own right, Priya regularly assists our team and clients with accounting and assurance aspects.
Priya has a strong working knowledge of IT audits, practical knowledge of audit assertions, financial audit risks and accounting internal controls allowing her to provide valuable insight to the audit team.

Ahmed possesses specialist skills including data analytics, database and network security skills. He has assisted the firm on numerous public sector ICT assurance engagements nationally.
Ahmed has conducted general control reviews for the AGSA across all focus areas and in accordance with the AGSA training methodology. He possesses significant experience working with the AGSA on regularity audit assurance engagements.
With more than 3 decades in the financial sector, Rohith has gained a wealth of knowledge and experience in accounting and Statutory returns and registrations including preparation of annual financial statements, Income Tax Returns, VAT, PAYE, UIF and SDL, WCA, Company registrations and amendments to Close Corporations to name a few.

With close to a decade of industry experience, Yashiren has conducted various assurance engagements for public entities including national, provincial and local government entities.
He has been part of the audit team in a few JSE Listed entities predominantly in the medical, petroleum, mining and construction industries with a lead role in their subsidiary audits.
Naadiya brings years of experience across all areas of an accounting firm, combining deep expertise with clear, effective communication. Her comprehensive knowledge and attention to detail make her a trusted professional in both client-facing and technical roles, adding strong value to any team or project.
With over 27 years of business and financial experience, she has developed strong expertise across FMCG operations and professional services. She has spent the past 15 years within the firm, contributing in management, supervisory and client liaison roles, with a focus on debtors and financial management, and continues to play a key role in supporting clients and the audit team.
Gillian Ferreira Agrela is currently a senior at Coastal Accounting and has been with the company since February 2017. She completed her training Articles in November 2020. She has a natural knack for accounting and has acquired first-hand experience and has been equipped with a valuable skillset.

With over 7 years of dedicated experience as an Administrative and Secretarial Assistant in the Firm, Nivashnie brings exceptional organizational and client service skills to the team. She has extensive experience in managing office operations, maintaining statutory records, preparing meeting documentation, and coordinating correspondence with clients and service providers. Her strong attention to detail and ability to support both technical and management teams ensure the smooth running of daily operations and the highest standard of professional service.
Shalika Maharaj is an associate at Lockhat Incorporated. She has over 10 years of experience in shaping and executing the strategic vision of the organization. She has a proven track record of success in developing and implementing comprehensive strategies across various business aspects, particularly in business development. Shalika is also a skilled trainer and advisor, with experience in developing and delivering training programs and providing expert advice to clients on accounting, tax, auditing, and other pertinent matters.
Raniel Misra is a Partner at Lockhat Inc. He has worked on large, small and medium sized projects. He is passionate about assisting clients in attaining value from their ICT systems and providing synergy between ICT and Business. He has spent most of his career in ensuring businesses have value based secure ICT environments. He has led teams that have completed projects/ reviews at some of the largest financial services organisations in
Africa.
